雖然沒有了馬爾康，但對手北京國安也好不到哪去 ，隻有盧卡斯索薩一名防守端的外援 ，雙方比賽在大雨中進行 ，河北隊成為了場麵更占優的一方 ，援塞爾納斯的遠射擊中立柱，保利尼奧 、梅米舍維奇頻頻利用遠射尋找機會 。然而率先打破僵局的卻是北京國安 ，下半場開場5分鍾張玉寧突入禁區被出擊的池文一放倒 ，主裁判果斷送出黃點套餐，張玉寧親自主罰騙過池文一破門 ，國安1-0打破僵局。
落後的河北隊加強進攻 ，一度占據了場上優勢 。不過第81分河北隊再次遭遇打擊 ，崔麟放倒了於大寶 ，國安再次獲得點球 ，張稀哲主罰破門 ，將比分擴大為2-0。這個點球的判罰引起了河北隊外援塞爾納斯的不滿，因為抱怨吃到黃牌。第90分鍾 ，塞爾納斯世界波扳回一球，不過無力回天 ，最終球隊還是1-2輸球 。
這場比賽河北隊輸的非常鬱悶 ，不但被判了兩個點球 ，主力潘喜明還遭遇重傷 ，可謂賠了夫人又折兵 ，再加上近期困擾球隊的不利傳聞 ，河北隊的困境也在比賽中得到了反饋 ，但正如外援保利尼奧賽後所說的那樣 ，“有馬爾康可能會更好 ，現在沒有了他，我們也在繼續訓練 ，看在沒有他的情況下如何改變打法 。”
