從中超聯賽第一階段的分組情況看 ，與天津津門虎隊同在梅州賽區的隊伍，除了升班馬東道主梅州客家隊，還有北京國安 、深圳 、滄州雄獅 、四川蓉城四隊。眼下的中超聯賽格局 ，與之前幾個賽季相比，已經出現了很大的變化，同組幾支球隊，賽季開始前，大多做了有針對性的人員補強，訓練也非常係統 ，因此 ，津門虎隊必須做好聯賽開始階段就麵臨激烈競爭的準備 ，同時還要做好應對炎熱天氣和密集賽程的預案 。
日前 ，天津津門虎足球俱樂部組織球隊全員及俱樂部工作人員，開展了“學習冬奧精神 ，凝聚奮進力量；銘記百年曆史 ，鑄造青春榮光”主題宣傳教育活動 。球員們在活動中踴躍發言，紛紛表示 ，通過觀看 、學習 ，收獲頗豐 、感觸良多，一定會在接下來的訓練和比賽中 ，將收獲付諸實踐 。據了解，津門虎隊從天津出發前往梅州賽區前 ，還將有一場穿插進“奧運元素”的壯行會 。
