34歲的收视升梅西在今夏和巴薩的合同到期未能續約 ，隨後梅西選擇自由加盟巴黎聖日耳曼 。长法不過由於傷病困擾 ，国德梅西至今為止還沒能在法甲取得進球，比飙隻是梅西在歐冠小組賽中為大巴黎打進3球 。不過《馬卡報》援引法國《隊報》的法甲幅增報道稱，梅西的收视升到來已經增強了法甲在全世界的吸引力 。
卡塔爾拜因體育負責為法甲尋找海外轉播商 ，如今他們已經為法甲簽署了50餘份國際轉播合同 ，法甲聯賽也在全世界200多個國家和地區轉播 。《隊報》透露，自從梅西轉會巴黎聖日耳曼之後 ，比利時 、印度 、越南 、瑞典 、挪威等國家都簽下了法甲聯賽2021-24賽季的轉播合同 。
同時，法甲聯賽在海外的收視率也大幅上升 。今年10月24日 ，巴黎聖日耳曼在客場對陣馬賽 ，這場比賽被稱作法國的國家德比戰，而僅僅在北非和中東地區 ，這場國家德比的收視率就比上賽季時增加了76% 。盡管梅西在球場內還沒有給大巴黎產生預期的影響 ，但他的到來已經在球場外給法甲的傳播帶來了積極的影響 。
