8月15日 ，中超争冠组山中超蘇州賽區進行第8輪補賽 ，东队國安4-2戰勝申花 ，分领河北驚險1-1戰平武漢 ，跑国國安和河北隊也以積分優勢超越申花拿到爭冠組名額 ，安河 打平就可晉級的北压申花則落到保級組 。
爭冠組名單（積分從高到低） ：山東泰山33分 ，哨晋廣州隊30分 ，中超争冠组山長春亞泰28分 ，东队上海海港28分 ，分领深圳隊24分 ，跑国北京國安24分 ，安河河北隊23分 ，北压廣州城21分。哨晋
由於中國男足將在今年9、中超争冠组山10、11月參加世界杯亞洲區預選賽12強賽，中超第二階段比賽將於今年12月1日至明年1月3日舉行 。根據第二階段賽製 ，第一階段兩組積分排名前四的球隊將進入“爭冠組”，後四名球隊將進入“保級組”。A組前4名球隊將與B組前4名球隊各進行兩場比賽，A組後4名球隊將與B組後4名球隊各進行兩場比賽（第一階段同組球隊之間不比賽），共進行8輪64場比賽 。
中超全部比賽完成後 ，總積分（包括第一階段積分）多者名次列前 。“爭冠組”1至8名依次分別為本賽季聯賽排名1至8名；“保級組”1至8名依次分別為本賽季聯賽排名9至16名 。
