比賽前夜 ，增加蘇州賽區發布緊急通知，核酸所有前往江陰的检测人員需持有48小時內核酸檢測陰性的報告 ，否則無法返回蘇州 。需出因此在日常檢測的防疫返苏基礎上 ，申花 、升级申花示证亞泰兩隊所有人員在賽前一天臨時增加一次核酸檢測 ，亚泰返程時必須向相關人員出示陰性報告 。增加
前往江陰市體育場報道本場比賽的核酸綠區記者收到了同樣的通知："需前往江陰賽場的各位老師請注意，江陰緊急通知所有前往人員持48小時內核酸檢測陰性報告 ，检测返回蘇州時需要查驗 ，需出否則不能進入蘇州 。防疫返苏請各位老師在明天出發前攜帶好核酸證明 ，謝謝 。"
在此之前 ，根據疫情防控工作要求 ，經蘇州賽區組委會研究決定 ，已經取消2021中國平安中超聯賽蘇州賽區第12-14輪比賽以及第8輪補賽開放觀眾計劃 。蘇州賽區剩餘比賽都將空場進行 。
