間歇期前的沪媒海港最後一場比賽 ，保利尼奧展現了自己的等中價值 ，對陣天津津門虎一役中，超队他和奧斯卡在禁區前打出精妙配合 ，工资隨後捅射破網 。预算這一球凸顯了保利尼奧出色的甚至技術 ，如果不是不个别中去查閱了一下數據，很難讓人相信 ，甲队這僅僅是沪媒海港這名巴西外援來到中國一年半後的首粒進球。捅破這層窗戶紙後，等中保利尼奧在接受采訪時直言不諱地表示，超队自己渴望收獲更多：進球？工资助攻 ？都很美妙 ，最想要的预算當然還是冠軍 ！
上個月底的甚至時候 ，海港隊連續迎來兩場重頭戲 ，不个别中分別是28日對陣北京國安 ，以及31日對陣上海申花 。聯賽重啟後 ，海港隊的整體狀態一般 ，尤其是在進攻端 ，在阿瑙托維奇離隊後 ，球隊一直缺乏向前的縱深推進能力，無法在對手禁區內形成持續打擊 ，進球數銳減就是一個證明 。這種情況下 ，引援就成了改變現狀最直接 、最有效的方式 。
買誰 ？這是個問題 。受疫情影響 ，在聯賽進行時從歐洲轉會市場引援，需要承擔極大的風險 。首先是時間成本 ，拋開談判過程 ，球員抵達中國後 ，還需要經曆較長時間的隔離期 ，如果整個8月都無法為球隊出場，那麽這樣的引援意義其實就不大了。因此 ，幾乎是從一開始 ，海港俱樂部就打算將目光對準中超範圍內的一些現有外援 。
飽受財政困難的河北隊球員 ，確實是一個選擇 。但是 ，那些財政情況還算比較正常的俱樂部 ，其實也麵臨著自己的問題 ，比如海港。隨著中國足協就各項薪資帽出台明確政策後 ，海港就嚴格遵守規定 ，在外援與外教的開支上予以嚴控。賽季初 ，球隊送走了原隊長胡爾克，主帥萊科的年薪也不過200萬歐元 ，外援中衛邁斯托羅維奇的年薪更是不超過稅前200萬歐元 。當然 ，考慮到一線隊其他包括球員工資在內的各項投入 ，海港隊針對新援的身價（年薪）做出了相關標準。
正是這一原因 ，使得海港在引援過程中 ，雖然不乏可供選擇的對象 ，但真正可以"坐下來"談一談的 ，又非常有限 。馬爾康或許是其中比較典型的例子 ，然而在工資預算上 ，包括海港在內的一些中超俱樂部 ，甚至都無法給出個別中甲俱樂部給出的價格，這名高中鋒最終選擇加盟了武漢三鎮 。
