中國女足即將出征東京奧運會 ，贾秀幾名老隊員落選引得各方高度關注 。全需轻球中國女足隊醫透露 ，员锻唐佳麗因傷沒有進入奧運大名單 。炼机留下中國女足主教練賈秀全表示 ，女足從中國女足發展的希望角度考慮，需要給年輕隊員鍛煉機會 。贾秀按照日程安排 ，全需轻球中國女足本周出發前往東京 ，员锻7月21日迎來首場小組賽 ，炼机留下對手是女足實力強勁的巴西女足 。
最近京津冀地區天氣悶熱，希望卻絲毫沒有影響中國女足正在香河基地揮汗備戰，贾秀基本是全需轻球一天兩練，身體訓練和戰術打法相結合 。员锻據介紹 ，唐佳麗上月24日訓練時感覺到膝關節疼痛，經診斷是滑膜炎加內側副韌帶損傷 ，她已經回到了上海隊康複治療。
唐佳麗是中國女足鋒線上的重要隊員，中國足協副主席 、前中國女足射手孫雯數月前曾與本報記者聊起過唐佳麗 ，孫雯認為 ：唐佳麗的特點是靈活 ，與歐美球隊交鋒時，對手逼搶雖凶狠 ，但轉身慢 ，所以唐佳麗的特點能發揮出來 。當時奧運會女足分組還沒有進行 。本屆奧運會中國女足與巴西 、荷蘭、讚比亞三隊同組 ，與勁旅荷蘭女足的小組賽 ，需要唐佳麗這種特點和具有大賽經驗的隊員 ，不到萬不得已 ，相信賈秀全是不會自棄“利刃”的 。
中國女足奧運大名單裏 ，有5名國家隊出場紀錄為零的隊員，還有5人的出場次數在1場至3場之間 ，外界對此議論紛紛 。對此，賈秀全表示 ：“不然（未來）怎麽辦 ？之後又是下一屆世界杯了 ，老隊員到那時得多大歲數了 ？也許有人會講這個那個的 ，但我覺得這是我在這個位置上應該去做的 ，這些球員是聯賽中表現最優異的 ，起碼我給女足留下了希望 。”
