北京時間3月24日 ，中國隊在沙迦迎來了本屆12強賽的鹏们最後一個主場比賽 ，對手是大的点球沙特隊 ，最終憑借朱辰傑的提升點球 ，中國隊1-1戰平沙特隊 ，空间本屆12強賽在沙迦主場作戰保持不敗 。朱辰
賽後中國隊主教練李霄鵬表示：“祝賀沙特隊進入世界杯 ，杰罚今天兩個隊的稳定實力差距顯而易見 ，我們的李霄隊員非常努力 ，拿到1分比較幸運 。鹏们”
有記者問李霄鵬今天中國隊的大的点球比賽表現是否實現了“爭臉”這個目標 ，李霄鵬表示 ：“我想在拚搏精神上 ，提升每個隊員都值得表揚 ，空间但足球畢竟是朱辰踢的 ，我們在有球的杰罚時候不夠自信 ，這個有更大的提升空間 。”
談到年輕隊員的表現 ，李霄鵬表示：“我們還是有很多有潛力的年輕球員 ，隻是因為疫情熱身賽太少 ，大賽直接用他們有點冒險 ，在節奏適應上，亞洲最高級別的比賽 ，年輕球員稍微還需要適應 。特別是小高表現得稍微弱一點 。”
談到國家隊的未來以及備戰亞洲杯 ，李霄鵬表示：“現在這支隊伍，包括國家隊未來，我覺得隻要放開手腳去踢 ，這個是最重要的 ，放開手腳 ，在場上去發揮去表現 。”
對於安排朱辰傑罰點球 ，李霄鵬表示 ：“我們賽前在這塊場地上練過點球 ，他 、張玉寧和戴偉浚都是我們的點球手，我個人覺得朱辰傑的點球比較穩定 。”
有外媒記者問 ，受疫情的影響 ，中國隊一直在海外作賽，通過這次大賽的磨煉 ，明年亞洲杯會有好的表現嗎 ？對此李霄鵬表示 ：“我也不敢確定 ，但我相信我們慢慢來 ，一步步來 ，會好起來的。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
