當被問及為什麽不戴眼鏡時 ，去克克洛普表示：“我從10歲就開始戴眼鏡 ，洛普已經戴了44年。术自但是己都觉最近幾年我的視力越來越差 ，我做了一個小手術 ，渣叔做手不是眼镜激光手術 ，但是去克這個手術做完以後 ，我不戴眼鏡也能看得很清楚 。我也覺得我的臉不戴眼鏡時看起來很奇怪 ，但是現在我確實不用戴眼鏡了 ，也許以後有需要的時候 ，我會重新戴上眼鏡。”
《鏡報》援引知情人士消息稱 ，克洛普的眼睛接受了一些治療 ，效果非常好 ，他不需要一直戴著眼鏡 ，但是他偶爾還是會在教練席上戴眼鏡 。社交媒體上有一些利物浦球迷對克洛普不戴眼鏡的形象很不習慣 ，還有人提到，前利物浦主帥貝尼特斯在2008年改變形象後 ，利物浦的命運就此發生了變化，“我希望不會像拉法（貝尼特斯）留山羊胡子的時候那樣 ，從那以後 ，一切都不一樣了 。”
值得一提的是，克洛普不僅做了眼部手術 ，他此前就透露曾經做過牙齒整容手術，並且在2013年還修複過自己的發際線 。
