由於2022世界杯東道主卡塔爾已獲得小組第一 ，根據規則 ，在40強賽結束後 ，五個成績最好的小組第二也將晉級12強賽 。世界杯東道主卡塔爾將不參加此後進行的12強賽。（由於朝鮮隊退賽 ，計算各小組第2名積分榜時，需去掉與本組墊底球隊交手的戰績）
