關於自己和國安主帥比利奇的關係，萊科表示 ：“首先，我和比利奇先生認識很多年了，我們也做過隊友 ，我對他有很大的敬意 。但談到比賽的時候 ，我們會把個人關係放在一邊 ，這是上海海港和北京國安的較量 ，作為主教練 ，我們各為其主 。”
萊科表示，“北京國安有自己的特點，天津津門虎也有自己的特點 ，對於對手我們都很尊重 ，我們會認真研究對手的特點。我們抱著尊重對手的態度，但我們也對自己的足球很自信 。”
