上周末 ，在伊蒂哈德球場上演的朗尼曼市德比 ，曼聯1-4慘敗給曼城，克球紅魔連續8輪不敗被終結 。受伤比賽結束後 ，不能逼出曼聯臨時主帥朗尼克接受采訪時說了一些耐人尋味的揶揄話，令外界不得不產生一些聯想。朗尼他表示，克球有球員主動表示自己受傷了 。受伤在如此情況下 ，不能逼出德國人隻能選擇將其排除在曼市德比名單外 ，揶揄那這個球員會是朗尼誰呢 ？
“我必須相信我們的醫療團隊 。上周五早上訓練的克球時候 ，我們的受伤隊醫告訴我，C羅無法訓練 ，不能逼出原因是他的髖屈肌出現了一些問題 ，周六也是如此。”曼聯臨時主帥朗尼克話鋒一轉 ，說了一些令外界各種猜測的話 ，“如果我告訴你，這令人很失望 ，但這會有什麽幫助呢 ？這隻是事實而已 ，如果球員告訴隊醫他們受傷了 ，不能出場比賽 ，作為教練，我隻能接受。如果球員認為自己受傷了，那我不能強迫他出場 。”
顯而易見 ，外界對曼聯臨時主帥朗尼克所說的球員非常感興趣 ，到底是哪個球員告訴紅魔對於受傷的呢？從曼聯征戰曼市德比的大名單裏似乎可以看出端倪 ：格林伍德因為與女友的事情早已被封殺 ，真正缺席與曼城比賽的 ，隻有C羅和卡瓦尼 。
早些時候 ，英國媒體《太陽報》爆料 ，C羅並沒有受傷 ，而是得知自己無法在曼市德比首發 ，一怒之下離開英國回到了葡萄牙 ，CR7給出的理由是回到溫暖的家鄉 ，可以促進傷勢恢複 。一位知情人表示 ，是曼聯臨時主帥朗尼克認為C羅不符合戰術 ，進而將其踢出首發 ，“朗尼克想要采用不同的戰術 ，他想要更多地進行防守 ，這是個純粹的戰術選擇 。”
除了C羅，卡瓦尼也是曼聯主帥朗尼克所說的那個球員，德國人在賽前新聞發布會上表示 ，卡瓦尼感覺自己競技狀態不夠好而落選了曼市德比大名單，“過去幾天 ，卡瓦尼的訓練情況還是不錯 ，但他覺得自己還不夠好 。”
其實無論是C羅還是卡瓦尼 ，曼聯臨時主帥朗尼克的一番話 ，再度將紅魔更衣室問題推到鎂光燈之下 ，似乎印證了德國人已經無法掌控球隊 。甚至還有媒體表示 ，曼聯一些球員對經常出戰的隊友嘲諷 ，稱他們是“朗尼克的寵物” 。
