男單賽場上 ，石宇奇以1 ：2惜敗於本次比賽四號種子 、中國台北選手周天成。翁泓陽同樣以1：2不敵丹麥選手安東森 ，無緣晉級。
中國女單選手韓悅以2 ：1戰勝印度選手內瓦爾 。
何冰嬌以11 ：21和17 ：21爆冷不敵印度尼西亞選手瑪麗斯卡·東宗 ，遺憾止步首輪。
中國男雙組合任翔宇/譚強和何濟霆/周昊東均以1 ：2不敵各自對手 ，無緣下一輪 。
女雙方麵 ，中國組合陳清晨/賈一凡以21：11和21：14輕鬆擊敗荷蘭組合吉爾/塞爾寧 ，順利晉級。
混雙比賽中 ，中國組合鄭思維/黃雅瓊以21 ：8和21：14輕取中國台北組合楊博軒/胡綾芳 ，另一對中國組合王懿律/黃東萍則以21 ：17和23：21擊敗德國組合拉姆斯富斯/洛豪成功晉級 。
國羽對手方麵：
丹麥頭號種子安賽龍受到隊友吉姆克的頑強挑戰 ，以17 ：21 、21 ：14 、21 ：12逆轉獲勝 ，如期打進次輪 ，將對戰坐擁主場的大馬老將劉國倫 。
印尼6號種子金廷同樣打滿3局，才以17：21 、21 ：18 、21 ：12擒下中國香港球員伍家郎 。此外 ，傷愈複出的丹麥前世界亞軍安東森以8 ：21 、22 ：20、21 ：19驚險擊敗翁泓陽。
女單方麵 ，日本頭號種子山口茜和丹麥的萊恩激戰3局 ，以17 ：21 、21 ：13 、21 ：15逆轉勝出 ，避免連續兩屆大馬賽首輪出局 ，16強將迎來泰國的布莎南 ，後者以21：17 、21：8擒下蘇格蘭好手吉爾莫 。日本的大堀彩以21 ：9 、14 ：21 、21 ：14戰勝韓國的沈有振 ，丹麥選手米婭也以21：19 、21 ：7擊退金佳恩。
