北京時間8月19日晚 ，曼联三圣英超豪門曼聯在官網宣布，官方球隊的曼联三圣傳奇球星丹尼斯-勞確診混合型失智症（阿爾茨海默+血管性癡呆） 。需要指出的官方是 ，丹尼斯-勞在球員時代非常成功 ，曼联三圣在1964年的官方時候還曾經捧得金球獎 。
丹尼斯-勞丹尼球員時期曾先後效力過哈德斯菲爾德 、曼联三圣都靈 、官方曼城和曼聯 。曼联三圣1962年8月，官方丹尼斯-勞以創當時英倫紀錄的曼联三圣11萬5千英鎊價格加盟曼聯 ，勞也迎來了他職業生涯的官方首個高峰 ，他帶領著曼聯從低穀走向複興 ，曼联三圣當時他與博比-查爾頓、官方喬治-貝斯特的曼联三圣前場組合被世人稱之為“曼聯三聖” 。 他在曼聯效力的11年中出場300次 ，共打進182球 ，並於1964年榮獲金球獎 。
在今日 ，曼聯在官網宣布 ，丹尼斯-勞罹患除了罹患混合型失智症（阿爾茨海默病+血管性癡呆） 。丹尼斯-勞也公開發聲 ，他說道 ：“這絕對不是一件容易的事 ，尤其是對於最愛你的人 。我知道這是一件很難的事 ，要求很多 ，也很痛苦 。所以我們需要理解和耐心 。”
“我知道我的大腦在退化 ，我非常焦慮 。我想在我有能力的時候治療我的疾病 ，我知前麵的治療之路會很艱難 。我意識到了我的大腦是如何惡化的 ，我的記憶力是怎樣逐漸退化的 ，以及這個疾病如何在我無法控製的情況下給我帶來的痛苦。”
