當地時間3月17日晚9點04分 ，开练开启搭載著中國男足及中國U23男足代表團一行百餘人的抵达海南航空公司班機安全飛抵迪拜國際機場 。按照計劃 ，西亚训练中國隊將於當地時間18日下午進行抵達當地後的阿兰首次室外訓練 。
國足此次西征 ，巴西4名巴西歸化球員全部無緣，隔空国足原因是开练开启無法提前一周趕往迪拜開始體能訓練。其中洛國富是抵达有傷在身 ，而費南多 、西亚训练阿蘭 、阿兰艾克森等人的巴西理由也不盡相同 。此前國足客場與日本和越南隊的隔空国足兩場小組賽 ，歸化球員雖然趕到了日本與全隊會合 ，开练开启但身體情況並不理想，抵达競技狀態也比較差 ，教練組此次提出讓四人提前一周前往迪拜，是希望他們能夠加強體能 ，趕上全隊的訓練進度 。然而這一要求最終沒能實現 ，而四人也沒有出現在國足世預賽的名單中 。
值得一提的是 ，就在國足抵達西亞之際 ，歸化球員之一的阿蘭也在巴西開始了訓練 ，盡管無緣此次國家隊的比賽，但作為四名歸化球員中狀態和職業態度都比較受認可的一位 ，阿蘭未來可能還是希望能夠在中超某得一份工作。
