根據RMC的鲁姆最新報道 ，在得知了這一情況後，巴佩吉魯在當地時間昨天下午曾經去找姆巴佩談話 ，关系試圖澄清或是仍紧淡化此事 ，但他的张德着全懇談並沒有得到姆巴佩方麵的信服與諒解 。
吉魯表示自己的尚当某些話被曲解了 ，並表示自己並不是在針對姆巴佩發言 ，因為當時他所說的其實也包括坎特 、帕瓦爾等其他隊友 。吉魯坦然的向姆巴佩表示自己在采訪之中犯了錯 ，落進了記者的“陷阱” 。
姆巴佩在接下來的訓練中表現的不複平日的開朗 ，似乎情緒有些低落 ，肢體語言也很封閉。
德尚在本次訓練期間分別與兩名球員進行了交流，然後又是當著全隊的麵就此事發表意見 ，法國功勳主帥表示，即便吉魯在采訪中的確犯了錯 ，但現在最重要的是向前看 ，全隊團結努力實現目標 。
此後的隊內分組比賽中 ，吉魯給姆巴佩送上了2次助攻，在訓練結束時也與巴黎球星相互擁抱以示友好 ，但RMC表示 ，兩人之間氣氛仍顯僵硬 。
