拉波爾塔重新成為巴薩主席以後 ，一個重要任務就是處理球隊留下的爛賬和壞賬。而在更廣義的程度來講 ，巴薩要努力配合歐足聯的要求 ，使球隊整體運營情況符合歐足聯的財政公平法案 。其次則是要做到西甲聯盟的降薪要求 ，否則西甲聯盟可以拒絕巴薩為梅西注冊 ，那麽梅西將不具有為巴薩出戰的資格 。
