此前 ，希将西班布呂希曾執法過西班牙的执法兩場比賽，皆為平局；他曾執法過意大利的赛意4場比賽 ，藍衣軍團取得2勝2平 。官方本屆歐洲杯 ，德国大利布呂希已經執法4場比賽 ，裁判分別是布吕半决小組賽的荷蘭3-2烏克蘭和芬蘭0-2比利時 ，1/8決賽比利時1-0葡萄牙以及1/4決賽烏克蘭0-4英格蘭 。希将西班
值得一提的执法是 ，布呂希曾在2014年 、赛意2018年世界杯和2016年歐洲杯中擔任裁判 。官方2018年 ，他在執法瑞士2比1擊敗塞爾維亞的比賽中 ，發生了漏判塞爾維亞點球的爭議性事件 ，因此FIFA沒有讓他執法那屆世界杯的其他比賽 。
