北京時間12月1日 ，尬朗英超豪門曼聯官方表示 ，尼克由於朗尼克暫時未能獲得英國勞工證，未获所以無法帶隊出戰主場與阿森納的劳工联首英超賽事 ，德國人執教紅魔首秀被推遲 ，证执代理主帥卡裏克將繼續履行帶隊的秀推職責 。
英國媒體《每日電訊報》指出 ，大写的尴朗尼克過去五年擔任主教練的尬朗時間不足，導致他無法自動獲得英國勞工證，尼克曼聯隻能通過特殊人才條款為德國人申請英國勞工證，未获但這需要時間進行審核 。劳工联首艦隊街表示，证执在英國脫歐後 ，秀推來自歐盟的大写的尴教練和非歐盟的教練都需要一定的條件才能夠自動獲得英國勞工證 ，作為德國人 ，朗尼克自動獲得英國勞工證的條件是過去5年時間裏，需要連續24個月或者累計36個月在全球範圍內的頂級聯賽執教 ，再由英足總通知英國內政部後 ，自動獲得英國勞工證。
遺憾的是 ，朗尼克並不符合英國勞工證的條件 ，因為他過去五年時間裏 ，僅在萊比錫紅牛執教11個月而已 ，所以他無法自動獲得英國勞工證 。英國媒體《每日電訊報》消息稱 ，曼聯對朗尼克獲得英國勞工證持樂觀態度 ，他們已經利用特殊人才條款提出申請 ，英足總會任命一個由3人組成的獨立小組對朗尼克進行考察，德國人隻要滿足能為英格蘭頂級聯賽水平發展做出重大貢獻便可獲得英國勞工證 。據悉 ，當地時間周一 ，曼聯得知朗尼克無法自動獲得英國勞工證後，就提出了特殊人才申請。
朗尼克暫時無法獲得英國勞工證 ，所以無法帶領曼聯出戰本周中主場對陣阿森納的英超賽事 ，德國人執教紅魔的首秀將被延遲；曼聯主場對陣阿森納的比賽 ，將繼續由代理主帥卡裏克負責 ，此前他帶領球隊出戰2場比賽 ，取得1勝1平 ，先是歐冠小組賽客場2-0擊敗比利亞雷亞爾 ，然後英超客場1-1戰平切爾西。
