本賽季 ，33歲的梅西仍然表現出色，各項賽事出場37次 ，打進29球助攻11次 ，盡管沒能幫助巴塞羅那殺進歐冠八強，但國王杯挺進決賽 ，且西甲賽場上排名第二 ，僅落後榜首馬德裏競技4分 ，有機會奪得雙冠王 。
