在第35分鍾時 ，官方果暂戈麥斯為塞維利亞首開紀錄 。贝蒂4分鍾後 ，斯VS塞赛处費基爾右側角球直接旋入網窩中 。维利未知就在貝蒂斯球員們瘋狂慶祝時 ，亚空一名貝蒂斯球迷卻失去了理智 。场重這名球迷從看台上扔下一根棍子，罚结棍子一側被削減 ，官方果暂簡直就像是一根標槍 。這根“標槍”擊中霍爾丹頭部，霍爾丹當即倒地不起 。
主裁立刻暫停比賽，霍爾丹被救護車送往醫院接受檢查 ，安保人員則逮捕了這名瘋狂的貝蒂斯球迷 。在等到了幾十分鍾之後 ，主裁最終決定將本場比賽腰斬 。
