近日 ，英超公布了本賽季最佳球員的罗留队候選 ，其中包括了薩卡 、未进阿諾德 、英超坎塞洛 、最佳德布勞內 、候选薩拉赫 、笑话孫興慜等人，曼联名宿然而C羅卻未在其列 。罗留队曼聯名宿 ，未进也曾與C羅做過隊友的英超費迪南德就表示 ，這樣的最佳名單讓人發笑 。
“薩卡在英超最佳球員的候选候選當中？我不會把薩卡選入其中，我不會讓他在C羅之前 ，笑话不 ，曼联名宿不會是這個賽季 。C羅應該比這其中的三到四個人更靠前 ，雖然他可能無法獲獎 ，但這是候選名單 ，這真可笑。他會將其視為一種不尊重 ，他會想：‘你怎麽敢這麽做 ？’如果你是以數據為依據 ，他會想：‘我的進球比除薩拉赫之外的大多數人都多 ，你們究竟在討論什麽 ？’”
而對於C羅的未來 ，費迪南德相信，葡萄牙人100%會留隊 ，“100%，我認為C羅100%會留在曼聯 。我之前就說過 ，我認為他所留下的，如果他離開了這裏，將會與他所期望的有所不同 。他會尋求做一些別的事情 ，相比於在這裏踢球的日子要更為長久的印記 ，我認為那就是影響其他年輕人，並幫助球隊建設文化。主教練會試著做到這些 ，而我認為他會希望由一些特定的球員來實現。因為一些明顯的原因 ，C羅顯然是其中之一 。”
