北京時間3月24日消息 ，曝苏據東方體育日報報道 ，宁主江蘇蘇寧宣布停運後，力后主力後衛周雲選擇直接退役 ，卫选剛剛年滿30歲的择直支中他，此前拒絕了多支中超球隊的接退绝多邀約 。
東方體育日報報道稱 ，役拒约去年年底 ，超球吉翔和周雲與蘇寧俱樂部的队邀合同都到期了，30歲的曝苏他們都沒能續約 。球隊重新集結後 ，宁主他們一開始並未歸隊 ，力后蘇寧俱樂部宣告停止運營後 ，卫选他們和其他一些球員自尋訓練場地 ，择直支中健身房 、接退绝多南京江心洲 、江寧足球基地 ，都有過他們的身影 。
和吉翔一樣，周雲也受到了中超球隊的邀約 ，其中包括廣州城 ，但他一心隻想留在江蘇踢球 。江蘇隊消失後 ，周雲做出的決定更令人扼腕 ，今年年底將年滿30周歲的他 ，直接選擇退役 ，職業生涯一生一城一隊 ，外表看似柔弱的“雲妹妹”內心卻無比堅強 ，堪稱江蘇版的馬爾蒂尼 。
告別足球 ，周雲有更多的時間可以陪伴家人 ，2016年和2018年 ，他先後有了兩個女兒 ，前些天兒子的誕生 ，讓家中又多了一分歡聲笑語 。球員時期，周雲沒有考教練證，未來 ，他的生活也不再和職業足球有關聯 ，但周雲說自己和吉翔一樣 ，永遠都是江蘇隊的球迷，從小就是 ，此生都是 。
