北京時間4月19日 ，英國媒體《倫敦足球》消息 ，刑热熱刺主帥穆裏尼奧下課已經成為定局，刺内俱樂部內部認為 ，为穆葡萄牙人下賽季不會繼續執教球隊 。帅下赛季始选帅目前 ，执教熱刺高層已經開始尋找穆裏尼奧的已开接班人 ，包括萊斯特城主帥羅傑斯在內的判死多名教練均是候選 。據悉，刑热熱刺的刺内更衣室也瀕臨失控狀態 ，基本無緣本賽季英超前四 。为穆
2019年11月底 ，帅下赛季始选帅穆裏尼奧拿起了熱刺的执教教鞭，令人遺憾的已开是 ，葡萄牙人對北倫敦球會的判死成績並未有很大的提升 ，反而還退步了，本賽季更是舉步維艱 。目前，英超聯賽32輪戰罷 ，熱刺僅取得14勝8平11負的成績 ，積50分 ，排名第七位，比排名第四的西漢姆足足少了6分 ，在還剩下6輪的情況下，加之身前還有切爾西和利物浦，北倫敦球會本賽季無緣英超前四 ，幾乎是鐵定的事實 。主帥穆裏尼奧率隊取得這樣的成績 ，肯定是不合格的 ，即便是他有可能在聯賽杯決賽中擊敗曼城奪冠 。其實，真正致命的是 ，穆裏尼奧的更衣室接近失控 。
英國媒體《倫敦足球》指出 ，在熱刺歐聯杯客場0-3負於薩格勒布迪納摩後 ，隊內多名球員對主帥穆裏尼奧進行了質疑 ，隊長洛裏接受采訪時也是承認 ，更衣室內出現了問題，球員之間的凝聚力沒有了 ，至於一部分替補球員，更多的是在抱怨 ，而非支持球隊 。熱刺的更衣室 ，已經有崩盤的跡象。
當然 ，熱刺主帥穆裏尼奧並不是沒有努力過 ，本賽季球隊成績糟糕的最大因素之一，就是守不住，北倫敦球會多次處於領先的情況下最後時刻丟球 ，要麽是3分變成1分，要麽是1分變成0分。毫不誇張的說 ，本賽季的熱刺就是在天災人禍中前進著 ，但俱樂部高層和球迷無法接受成績糟糕的事實。如今 ，熱刺內部漸漸有了其他聲音，不再堅定的支持穆裏尼奧 ，認為下賽季他很難繼續執教了。
關於穆裏尼奧的接班人，目前有很多猜測，譬如萊斯特城主帥羅傑斯以及萊比錫紅牛納格爾斯曼 ，皆在熱刺選帥的列單上 。需要指出的是 ，穆裏尼奧與熱刺的合同並不是在本賽季結束後到期 ，所以，一旦俱樂部決定解雇葡萄牙人 ，那麽可能需要承擔巨額的賠償金。
