北京時間8月22日 ，中国足协中國足協在皇冠假日酒店舉行媒體溝通會 ，确定强赛全力全麵介紹國足備戰12強賽的目标相關情況 。國管部部長陳永亮、拼搏國足主帥李鐵和領隊張賀出席通氣會 。力争國管部部長陳永亮透露了12強賽中國隊的出线目標 ：全力拚搏 、力爭出線。中国足协
對於12強賽的确定强赛全力備戰工作 ，陳永亮表示 ：“在總結40強賽工作的目标基礎上 ，成立了若幹工作小組 ，拼搏包括後勤保障、力争賽事組織 、出线媒體 、中国足协商務 、确定强赛全力疫情防控等 ，目标全力完成客場的保障職責 ，確保整個團隊的作戰力和執行力的完整性 。”
陳永亮表示 ：根據協會的要求 ，成立了臨時的12強賽黨支部，“我作為支部書記 ，張賀作為副書記 ，前線黨員包括運動員黨員 ，總共20位左右 ，充分發揮黨員的模範帶頭作用 ，確保隊伍的戰鬥力 。”
對於主場安排問題 ，陳永亮表示 ：“9月7日的主場隻能安排在多哈了 ，去跟日本隊打這場小組賽。原本著手是希望安排在上海打 ，但是因為疫情 ，收緊了相關政策 ，上海主場被取消了 ，10月份的主場 ，我們全力爭取在國內打 ，當然也不排除10月7日的比賽 ，還會放在國外進行 ，現在我們是兩手準備 。11月份的主場 ，我們是全力爭取，盡量放在國內打 。但是受疫情的影響 ，很多問題暫時沒法確定。”
對於12強賽的目標 ，陳永亮表示：“我們的目標是‘全力拚搏 、力爭出線’ ，其實大家也都很清楚 ，我們的情況 ，對手的情況，不拚肯定一點機會沒有 ，拚了最後的結果怎麽樣，誰也說不清楚 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
