去年1月隻有18歲的入选特裏尼蒂-羅德曼首次參加聯賽 ，是赛破美國女足聯賽曆史上最年輕的出場球員 。在2021賽季的纪录美國女足聯賽中 ，華盛頓精神在常規賽隻排名第三 ，足坛但在季後賽表現神勇並最終奪冠 。而特裏尼蒂-羅德曼整個賽季出場22次 ，打進5球助攻6次 ，被評為2021賽季美國女足聯賽的最佳新秀 。
美國女足國家隊將在1月19日至28日在德克薩斯州舉行集訓營 ，而特裏尼蒂-羅德曼首次得到了國家隊的征召 ，她也是本次美國女足25人名單中年齡最小的球員 。如果在本次集訓中特裏尼蒂-羅德曼的表現能讓主帥滿意，就有望參加今年2月的SheBelieves杯 ，上演國家隊首秀 。SheBelieves杯的參賽球隊是美國女足 、捷克女足 、新西蘭女足 、冰島女足 。
美國女足國家隊主帥弗拉特科-安多諾夫斯基表示 ：“特裏尼蒂是上賽季聯賽中最令人興奮的球員之一，她證明了自己可以在職業比賽中產生影響。她還是一名年輕球員 ，但我們的確想讓她初次涉足國家隊環境。希望她能繼續成長 ，並在國家隊層麵展示出她在聯賽中的能力。當然我們不想急於求成 ，我們必須要有耐心 。”
這次美國女足國家隊沒有召入很多老將，比如摩根 、拉皮埃諾 、紹爾布倫等名將都不在名單中 。主帥安多諾夫斯基準備對國家隊進行大換血 ，他的目標是在2023年女足世界杯上取得好成績 。
