今天淩晨 ，其赛國際足聯官方發布聲明 ，辟谣杯及变更對《羅馬體育報》的官方報道進行辟謠。國際足聯官方表示 ：“鑒於今天有一些報道和謠言在進行傳播，世界事不时长國際足聯希望在此聲明 ：對於2022年的其赛卡塔爾世界杯以及其它賽事 ，不會有任何關於比賽時長的辟谣杯及变更規則變更 。”
據《羅馬體育報》此前透露 ，官方國際足聯主席因凡蒂諾希望通過大幅增加傷停補時的世界事不时长時間，來讓每場比賽的平均時長達到100分鍾 ，進而顛覆了一場足球比賽用時90分鍾的概念 。此外 ，國際足聯足球發展負責人溫格還提出了運用技術進行自動判定越位的建議 。
