曾效力於曼聯的阿什利-揚近日在接受意大利天空體育采訪時談到了自己的隊友盧卡庫，他表示盧卡庫幫助國際米蘭時隔11年贏得意甲冠軍，卢卡历史在意大利創造了曆史，库意不明白曼聯當時為什麽要出售這麽出色的大利球員 。

值得一提的是 ，曼聯主帥索爾斯克亞此前在接受采訪時也談到了出售盧卡庫的原因 ，他認為盧卡庫離隊對其他前鋒的成長來說有著很大的作用。索帥說 ：“盧卡庫離開曼聯是正確的決定 ，那的確是他離開曼聯並追求其他夢想的時候 。對我們來說 ，作為一個團隊，我們應該讓球員得到穩定出場時間的情況下給予他們信心 ，並讓他們找到自信。如果能夠保持這樣做 ，那麽球員們的水平就會得到提升。我認為我們本賽季的三位前鋒（拉什福德 、馬夏爾和格林伍德）都取得了很大的進步 。但是 ，我認為他們還能表現的更好 。”
