據悉 ，米红牌比賽第60分鍾，兰拟力争原本是为伊一次正常的犯規 。但是主裁判卻突然亮出了紅牌。正當所有人都感到有些懵的時候 ，伊布徑直離場……事後 ，伊布解釋這張紅牌的始末 。他確實與當值主裁進行了理論 。但主裁判將他說的“Mi Sembra strano（這似乎很奇怪）”聽成了“Sei un bastardo（你是一個混蛋）”……所以便以“辱罵裁判”為由將其直接紅牌罰下了 。
伊布很冤枉的表示 ，當時自己對裁判說的是：“啊，所以你不關心我在說什麽嗎 ？這似乎很奇怪……”但主裁判卻突然就甩手給了他一張紅牌。
目前 ，還不知道當值主裁在賽後報告中對於這張紅牌將進行如何的描述 。按照過往的慣例 ，意大利足協對於球員的不當言論的禁賽一般是2場 。但米蘭如果進行上訴 ，一旦成功 ，有望將禁賽場次可減為1場 ，甚至是取消禁賽。
