英國媒體《每日郵報》披露 ，在盜賊光顧豪宅的時候，貝克漢姆 、妻子維多利亞和女兒小七全都在家中 ，但他們對此毫無察覺 ，隻因他們在樓下居住，而盜賊隻偷了樓上的東西 。沒有與盜賊“碰麵” ，所以貝克漢姆一家人沒有受到身體上的傷害 。據悉 ，直到第二天早晨 ，17歲的克魯斯回家後發現 ，他樓上臥室非常淩亂，且房間玻璃破裂 ，並且一些財物丟失 。他將這一切告知父親貝克漢姆，他們一家人才知道家裏被盜 ，小貝第一時間向警方報警 。
需要指出的是 ，貝克漢姆價值4000萬英鎊的豪宅即將進行翻修 。由於長時間沒有維修，這棟豪宅的露天看台和樓梯都出現了裂縫 ，甚至不斷有石塊掉落，再加上被盜賊光顧 ，貝克漢姆決定翻修房子 。目前 ，維修工人已經對貝克漢姆豪宅的露天看台和樓梯等位置 ，用木材等一些道具進行臨時加固 ，然後進行新一步翻修工作 。此前 ，貝克漢姆已經獲得了重修房屋的許可證 。
