從身位上看 ，貝拉爾迪得球時確實處於“越位”位置 ，但是根據足球的規則 ，貝拉爾迪的“越位”在規則允許範圍以內。因為按照規則 ，球員直接接得球門球 、角球 、界外球沒有越位。
這個球的判罰也肯定會讓中國球迷想起2020年初，中國國奧隊的那次角球越位判罰。而兩者也有區別，當年中國國奧隊的那次戰術角球越位的判罰是正確的 。
當時那場與烏茲別克斯坦的比賽進行到第23分鍾，中國隊11號陳彬彬和8號段劉愚準備開出戰術角球 。然而，當陳彬彬將球交給段劉愚之後 ，自己已經處在了越位位置，但他還是在隊友停球之後 ，起腳傳中 。這一幕就在邊裁的眼皮底下發生 ，他果斷判罰中國隊越位 。
