北京時間6月6日，意媒尤文根據意大利媒體《米蘭體育報》報道 ，基耶基地加练尤文前鋒小基耶薩選擇結束假期 ，萨提束假提前回到球隊的前结期孔蒂納薩基地進行恢複訓練。他希望能夠在9月或10月份傷愈複出 ，够拼與隊友們一起征戰新賽季。意媒尤文
2021-22賽季意甲第21輪尤文客戰羅馬的基耶基地加练比賽 ，小基耶薩受傷離場 。萨提束假隨後 ，前结期尤文官方宣布，够拼小基耶薩進行了左膝前十字韌帶重建手術 ，意媒尤文恢複時間大約為7個月 。基耶基地加练因為養傷 ，萨提束假小基耶薩缺席了卡塔爾世界杯世預賽歐洲區的前结期附加賽 ，最終意大利在附加賽半決賽中慘遭北馬其頓淘汰 ，無緣與葡萄牙會師決賽 ，連續兩屆世界杯缺席 。另外，為了彌補小基耶薩的空缺 ，尤文在冬窗高價引進了塞爾維亞前鋒弗拉霍維奇。
《米蘭體育報》表示 ，當隊友們都還在享受假期時，小基耶薩已經返回基地進行加練 。尤文預計將在7月4日重新開始集訓，屆時小基耶薩不會歸隊訓練 ，他依舊進行個人訓練，但他希望能在九月份或者十月份回歸賽場 。
此前的2022賽季F1摩納哥大獎賽 ，小基耶薩與弗拉霍維奇一起到現場觀戰。在接受媒體采訪時，弗拉霍維奇表示 ，迫不及待希望能和小基耶薩並肩作戰。此前 ，兩人曾在佛羅倫薩當過一段時間的隊友 。
