歐洲杯小組賽第二輪 ，西班牙以1-1的塔下比分戰平波蘭 。雖然沒有取得比賽的场比勝利 ，但首輪比賽飽受爭議的赛必前鋒莫拉塔最終還是收獲了一粒進球 。比賽結束後 ，须当谢恩莫拉塔接受了媒體的决赛采訪 ，在采訪中莫拉塔表達了對主帥恩裏克的打感的信感謝。
“很遺憾再一次錯失了勝利 ，莫拉接下來和斯洛伐克的塔下比賽將是決戰 ，我們想要晉級1/8決賽 ，场比那麽必須取勝 。赛必”首先 ，须当谢恩莫拉塔談到剛剛結束的决赛這場比賽，“我也不知道說什麽 ，打感的信就是莫拉這樣吧 。我們今天有機會 ，但是沒有把握住 ，這就是足球 。”
由於小組賽前兩場比賽西班牙均收獲了平局 ，因此到了最後一輪 ，西班牙與斯洛伐克的比賽似乎就成為了一場輸不起的決賽 。對此莫拉塔也是信心滿滿 ：“我們充滿了信心 ，大家都很難過 ，但是我們還是有信心的 ，因為我們相信隻要做好自己該做的 ，接下來努力是會有結果的 ，我們相信能夠戰勝斯洛伐克。”
在談到自己所取得的這粒進球時 ，莫拉塔也感謝了主帥恩裏克的信任 ：“我覺得主要還是我們之後被對手扳平了 ，這才是問題所在，也是無法改變的 ，不管我自己進不進球 ，我真的無所謂 ，我隻需要勝利 。對於進球 ，我很感謝每個人對我的信任 ，感謝教練的信任 ，我們還是需要繼續前進。”
在很多西班牙球迷看來 ，現在這支國家隊有著各種各樣的問題 ，對此莫拉塔也發表了自己的觀點：“我覺得球迷們怎麽想都無所謂 ，如果我每天都在乎別人怎麽想 ，您想象下吧 。大家愛怎麽想就怎麽想，在西班牙，大家發表觀點都是輕輕鬆鬆，不用負責任的 。西班牙做好自己 ，不管運氣好壞 ，在球場上我們依然要全力以赴 。”
