8月28日淩晨，高效哈蘭德憑借一己之力幫助曼城將一場幾乎已經輸掉的射手胜比賽贏了回來 ，並且還上演了自己在英超的成新城逆第一個“帽子戲法” 。
在這場曼城與水晶宮的希望戏法英超第四輪聯賽中 ，開場第四分鍾“藍月亮”就因為後衛斯通斯的哈兰烏龍球而落後 。第21分鍾 ，德帽水晶宮又迎來了機會 ，助曼转获安德森利用角球機會頭球破門 ，蓝月亮將比分變為2:0。高效
不過 ，射手胜留給曼城的成新城逆時間還不少。下半場貝·席爾瓦扳回一球後哈蘭德的希望戏法表演就開始了。在不到20分鍾的哈兰時間內 ，哈蘭德便連下三城將比分鎖定為4:2。德帽

這是哈蘭德職業生涯以來製造的第13個“帽子戲法” ，也是他在英超的第一個“帽子戲法”。尤其是之前在德甲與歐冠，他第一次亮相就上演了“帽子戲法” 。
本場比賽戰罷 ，他已經在英超聯賽中踢進了6球 ，效率之高令人歎服 。畢竟英超的對抗與防守水平是全世界足壇中最高的 ，在這樣一個激烈火爆的聯賽中能高效率進球 ，目前來看 ，哈蘭德完全可以與當年22歲時的梅西 、C羅相比肩 。
而哈蘭德的到來，無疑也給了曼城與主教練瓜迪奧拉新的希望 。這些年曼城在瓜帥的帶領下有了突飛猛進的進步 ，但是與世界最強還是差那麽一點距離 ，哈蘭德則彌補了曆年來曼城在高中鋒位置上的不足 ，瓜帥也有了更多的戰術選擇 ，來應付應接不暇的各項高強度賽事。
青出於藍勝於藍 。哈蘭德的父親也在曾在曼城效力過 ，並進了18個球 ，因此本場比賽結束後 ，興奮的哈蘭德還提到了自己的父親 ：“他總是說自己在英超的進球比我多，現在，我的目標就超過他 。”
現在看來 ，要不了半個賽季 ，哈蘭德的目標就要實現了 。
