而據《曼徹斯特晚報》的報道，不僅是林加德的家人感到憤怒 ，球員本人也對朗尼克感到失望 。《曼徹斯特晚報》指出 ，朗尼克的決定讓林加德沮喪 ，出自曼聯青訓營的他，卻沒有機會在主場與球迷告別 。而其他幾位同樣麵臨離隊的球員，比如馬塔、馬蒂奇和卡瓦尼 ，都獲得了在主場完成謝幕演出的機會 。
