西班牙人在2019-220賽季遺憾的借加從西甲降級 ，但是条款在上個賽季 ，西班牙人一路高歌猛進 ，西班在西乙賽場發揮出色，牙人最終成功升入西甲 。官方對於西班牙人來說，曼城盟无买断球隊本賽季的中场目標就是保級 ，為此西班牙人高層也希望通過引援提升實力 。埃雷
北京時間9月1日淩晨 ，西班牙人在官網宣布租借下曼城中場埃雷拉的消息 ：“西班牙人與曼城就楊格利-埃雷拉的租借事宜達成了一致 ，租期一個賽季 。北京時間9月1日19:00，他將出席新聞發布會 。”根據《曼徹斯特晚報》記者的報道 ，這筆租借沒有購買選項 。
埃雷拉2017年加盟曼城目前他和曼城的合同將在2024年到期，他加盟藍月軍團後先後租借效力於紐約城 、韋斯卡和格拉納達 ，他在西甲聯賽和歐聯杯共出場90次 ，打進10球 。目前他沒有代表曼城一線隊出場過 。埃雷拉速度快 、大局觀強 ，擁有一定的防守能力 ，而且在進攻端作用明顯 。上個賽季 ，租借到格拉納達的他為球隊在各項賽事出場43次，其中34次首發，貢獻5球2助攻 。
