今天 ，大阪日本J聯賽大阪櫻花官方宣布約尼奇回歸球隊。樱花约尼約尼奇成為上個賽季中超聯賽結束後第二位離開申花的宣布外援 ，另外一位是申花合同到期的隊長莫雷諾 。
去年1月 ，外援在前任主教練崔康熙的奇加力薦之下 ，約尼奇從大阪櫻花來到申花 ，大阪取代了姆比亞 。樱花约尼整個賽季 ，宣布約尼奇正麵防守能力比較突出 ，申花在各項賽事中代表申花出戰23次打入1球 ，外援場均貢獻1.1次搶斷 、奇加1.2次攔截 、大阪3.9次解圍 、樱花约尼0.6次阻擋射門 。宣布申花與約尼奇的合同到2023年年底 ，所以他是轉會回到大阪櫻花。
由於大阪櫻花21歲年輕中衛瀨古步夢留洋加盟了草蜢隊，所以俱樂部將引援的目標瞄準了舊將約尼奇 ，從而補強自己的後防線 。大阪櫻花宣布 ，約尼奇將在回到日本通過體檢後與球隊簽約 ，他的球衣號碼是22號 。約尼奇曾於2017年首度加盟大阪櫻花 ，在隨後的4個賽季裏 ，約尼奇累計為球隊出場161次，貢獻13粒進球 。
談及重返大阪櫻花 ，約尼奇說 ：“能再次一起戰鬥我感到很高興，我現在正在克羅地亞為J聯賽做準備。我期待著能和隊友 、支持者們見麵 ，我會全力以赴為大阪櫻花效力 。”
