自1月10日在海口進入新賽季的身赛胜平收获備戰期 ，長春亞泰在三個階段的负连備戰中進行了14場比賽 ，先後3比1勝U22國足 、战京1比0勝河北隊 、沪鲁2比0勝昆山FC 、不败0比2負於國足、0比0平武漢三鎮、1比3負於深圳隊 、3比2勝廣州城 、2比2平貴州隊 、2比2平廣州隊 、4比1勝滄州雄獅、3比3平山東泰山 、1比1平北京國安 、2比2平上海海港 、1比1平上海申花 ，獲得了5勝7平2負的戰績 。
闊別中超兩個賽季 ，長春亞泰在備戰期提前對本賽季對手進行“摸底” ，其中與9支中超球隊交手 ，而在與同組對手上海海港、上海申花 、北京國安 ，以及廣州賽區勁旅山東泰山的4場熱身賽中 ，長春亞泰全部保持不敗 ，這4場安排在第三階段備戰期的比賽全部打成了平手 ，這也大大提升了亞泰將士的信心。
結束10日的熱身賽後，亞泰將士迎來4天休整時間 ，這也是賽季前最後的假期 。按照計劃 ，長春亞泰將在上海進行3天訓練 ，並於18日趕赴蘇州 ，進駐賽區適應環境與場地 。4月22日 ，長春亞泰將在2021賽季中超聯賽首輪對陣大連人。
