A mind-blowing concept for the world's longest building has been revealed in the form of an incredibly cool, U-shaped skyscraper, and excuse us because we need a minute to take this all in. 😳
"The Big Bend" – an architectural structure designed by Oiio studio – is essentially an arched skyscraper that features a special elevator system able to travel horizontally, in curves and in loops.。

According to Oiio's website, the design plans to brilliantly work around the New York City zoning laws that create several obstacles for developers, limiting their ability to maximize property height, by focusing on length rather than height.

"What if we substituted height with length? What if our buildings were long instead of tall?" designers at Oiio thought. "If we manage to bend our structure instead of bending the zoning rules of New York we would be able to create one of the most prestigious buildings in Manhattan. The longest building in the world."
