北京時間12月8日 ，曼联英超豪門曼聯俱樂部官宣了盧克-肖 、官方瓦拉內、宣布训练林加德和卡瓦尼已經恢複訓練 。恢复此外 ，欧冠主教練朗尼克會在對陣伯爾尼年輕人的轮休比賽中輪休部分主力 。
曼聯將會在北京時間12月9日周四淩晨在歐冠最後一輪小組賽主場迎戰伯爾尼年輕人，部分這場比賽開始前 ，主力曼聯官方宣布 ：盧克-肖 、曼联瓦拉內 、官方林加德和卡瓦尼四名傷員已經恢複訓練 。宣布训练曼聯主教練朗尼克表示 ：“我們的恢复目標是贏得比賽 ，即使我們會使用一些此前出場機會不多的欧冠球員，一些體能充沛的轮休球員 ，但贏得比賽非常重要，部分我們絕對想要贏得這場比賽 。說實話 ，我現在還沒有確定好首發陣容 。接下來賽程很密集 ，因而讓一些球員輪休肯定是合理的。我們需要確保自己有盡可能充足的休息時間 ，另一方麵 ，我們也需要保持我們的良好勢頭 。”
盡管還未完全確定首發陣容，但朗尼克已經確認迪恩-亨德森和範德貝克會在本場比賽中首發出場 ，而傷愈的瓦拉內和卡瓦尼還沒有做好出場的準備 ：“瓦拉內和卡瓦尼今天都參加了訓練 ，如果一切順利，我期待他們在下周恢複完整訓練 。希望在下周一 ，他們能參加所有的訓練課。”
此外 ，馬夏爾和博格巴依然因傷缺陣 ，瓊斯則因為沒有被注冊而無法參加歐冠小組賽 ，小將埃蘭加是朗尼克進攻端的另一個選擇 。
