曼城本可以在上半場就扳平比分的 ，但是這個任務隻能等到下半場才有機會實現 。下半場開始沒多久 ，第59分鍾的時候瓜迪奧拉有點忍受不了斯特林的發揮 ，用熱蘇斯替換下了這位大英帝星。曼城不僅很快扳平了比分 ，而且發動了潮水般的進攻。羅德裏 、德布勞內和熱蘇斯相繼射門擊中門框彈出。盡管沒能擊敗對手 ，延續連勝紀錄 ，但是曼城在斯特林下場後的表現卻是有目共睹的 ，不知道坐在場邊的斯特林有何感想 。曼城馬上迎來英超和歐冠等眾多關鍵賽事 ，藍月球迷們恐怕不想再看到斯特林的“快樂足球”了 。
