1月4日 ，军泰山東泰山隊1:1戰平長春亞泰 ，山队晒出以三連平的日起戰績收官聯賽 ，並在比賽結束後如願捧起隊史第5座頂級聯賽的兵成冠軍獎杯 。在休整一天後，球隊開啟了全新征程 。
根據賽程，足協杯決賽定於9日晚19:30在成都市鳳凰山體育場進行 ，對陣雙方為山東泰山隊和上海海港隊。受疫情防控因素影響 ，本場比賽確認將空場進行 。
目前 ，泰山隊和海港隊球員均表達了對足協杯冠軍的渴望 。在中超頒獎典禮中 ，多名泰山隊球員表示 ，征途還未結束 。
“還有一個足協杯決賽 ，我們還想捧第二個冠軍獎杯。”郭田雨表示 。
“現在我們隊裏整體氛圍非常好，大家都非常團結 ，保持了很長時間的聯賽不敗 ，希望能把狀態繼續延續下去 ，把之後的足協杯決賽完成好 。”鄭錚說 。
如果泰山隊能夠在足協杯決賽中取勝 ，那麽球隊將在繼1999賽季和2006賽季之後 ，隊史第三次加冕“雙冠王” 。這也是球隊上下和球迷所期待的 。
