報道稱 ，Jaume Giro是西班牙金融界大鱷 ，他是拉波爾塔團隊中個人資產最多的人 ，原本計劃為拉波爾塔提供保證金 。Giro出任俱樂部財政副主席後將會負責未來的債務談判 、爭取短期貸款和爭取違約金貸款 ，他的突然離開使得拉波爾塔的團隊失去了財政支柱 。加泰ARA指出 ，巴薩目前極度糟糕的財政情況使得大多數銀行都不願意給拉波爾塔提供貸款 ，唯一願意提供貸款的Sabadell銀行要求等價抵押 ，而拉波爾塔方麵目前隻能拿出5000萬歐元的不動產 ，與所需的1.24億歐元相差甚遠 。
原本加泰羅尼亞能源公司Audax Renovables主席José Elías願意提供幫助 ，他的副手Eduard Romeu可能會進入巴薩董事會。不過，這家能源公司要求更大的話語權 ，使得拉波爾塔非常不滿 ，雙方的談判接近失敗。據悉 ，拉波爾塔方麵目前在與美國HPS Partener進行談判 ，但是對方要求拉波爾塔團隊支付每年5%的利息。加泰電台指出 ，拉波爾塔還有另外一個選擇 ，那就是讓包括他的競選對手Jordi Farre的團隊成員Joan Soler在內的5個不是自己團隊的人員進入董事會 。
