隨著B組約旦隊輸球又輸人的国足个稳0-1不敵澳大利亞隊後 ，他們也結束了自己的出局40強賽征戰之旅 。約旦隊排名B組第二 ，仅存进强在八個小組第二名球隊排行榜上 ，理论利亚約旦隊2勝2平2負進6球失2球積8分排名墊底鐵定出局；雖然該組中的对叙科威特隊有可能最終超越約旦隊占據本組第二 ，但他們的不输第二名積分最多也隻是8分 ，所以同樣無法對國足構成威脅。国足个稳這一結果也意味著國足在尚未與敘利亞隊交手之前，出局便99.99%的仅存进强拿到了12強的入場券 。
原因是理论利亚在國足開踢之前 ，阿曼隊 、对叙黎巴嫩隊 、不输塔吉克斯坦隊和約旦隊都已經踢完了他們的国足个稳40強賽小組賽 。除了約旦隊墊底出局外 ，出局黎巴嫩隊和塔吉克斯坦隊都是仅存进强積10分 ，與中國隊同分 ，不過淨勝球方麵國足優勢明顯。在踢敘利亞隊之前鐵家軍是有11個淨勝球 ，黎巴嫩隊淨勝球為3個 ，塔吉克斯坦隊是-1個 。
這就意味著中國隊隻要不淨負敘利亞隊9個 ，那麽在淨勝球和進球數方麵就可以壓倒黎巴嫩隊和塔吉克斯坦隊 ，也就意味著肯定不會跌出這個榜單的前五行列 。如此一來 ，中國隊實際上已經獲得了12強入場券 ，出局的可能性僅存在於理論層麵 。積12分的阿曼隊則確定晉級 。目前確定晉級12強的球隊包括：敘利亞隊、澳大利亞隊 、日本隊 、韓國隊、阿曼隊 、伊拉克隊、沙特阿拉伯隊和越南隊 。（卓奧友）
