現年21歲的桑喬出自沃特福德青訓，2015年加盟曼城青訓 ，2017年轉會到德甲多特蒙德，並迅速成為多特蒙德的主力球員 。至今為止桑喬在多特蒙德一共出場137次 ，打進50球。曼聯在去年夏天就曾求購桑喬 ，但當時多特蒙德要價太高沒能達成轉會協議 。而今年夏天曼聯終於如願以償 ，花費7300萬英鎊簽下了桑喬 。
