如今歐洲杯已經結束，联体英格蘭隊國腳們將開始夏季假期 ，检月《太陽報》透露桑喬在度假前會先接受曼聯的初归體檢 ，並且在正式簽約加盟後開始放鬆休假 。曼聯準備在本周安排桑喬接受體檢 ，而桑喬隨後有大約三周的假期 ，預計要等到8月初才能回到曼聯開始新賽季的訓練備戰 。
現年21歲的桑喬出自沃特福德青訓 ，2015年加盟曼城青訓 ，2017年轉會到德甲多特蒙德 ，並迅速成為多特蒙德的主力球員 。至今為止桑喬在多特蒙德一共出場137次 ，打進50球 。曼聯在去年夏天就曾求購桑喬，但當時多特蒙德要價太高沒能達成轉會協議 。而今年夏天曼聯終於如願以償 ，花費7300萬英鎊簽下了桑喬 。
在敲定桑喬之後 ，曼聯還將進行其它位置的引援 。首先是中後衛，曼聯正在和皇馬就法國中衛瓦拉內進行轉會談判，但目前仍未就轉會費達成一致 ，皇馬希望獲得5000萬英鎊以上的轉會費 。此外曼聯主帥索爾斯克亞還對18歲的法國中場新星卡馬文加感興趣 ，雷恩俱樂部對他的估價是2500萬英鎊 。
