在簽署巴薩加入歐超的文件中 ，巴薩新主席拉波爾塔留了個心眼，他加入了一個特別條款。這個特別條款規定 ，隻有在巴薩會員們通過加入歐超的協議之後 ，巴薩才會正式加入歐超 。如果巴薩會員不同意，那巴薩就會退出歐超 。
這個特殊條款 ，使得巴薩可以輕鬆“騎牆看戲” 。如果歐超進展順利 ，巴薩大可以加入歐超賺錢。如果歐超遭到了抵製 ，巴薩也可以用“會員不同意”為理由來退出歐超。而且巴薩加入歐超的協議 ，是前主席巴托梅烏敲定的，拉波爾塔完全可以反悔並把責任推到前任頭上去。
針對歐超的創辦 ，皮克是第一個發聲的巴薩球員 。“足球屬於球迷 ，如今比以往任何時候更是如此 。”皮克發推 ，旗幟鮮明地反對將足球變成有錢人的遊戲 。在歐超宣布暫停並改製之後 ，皮克又嘲諷了皇馬主席弗洛倫蒂諾 ：“昨天蹦得歡 ，今天拉清單 。致弗洛倫蒂諾和Chiringuito欄目 。”昨天弗洛倫蒂諾接受Chiringuito專訪 ，並“大義凜然”地表示“創辦歐超是為了拯救足球 。”
