國足本希望在10月7日與越南的国足世預賽12強賽前進行3場熱身賽，但從目前的至少支国再次专业情況看 ，這一計劃將落空。联系由於非國際比賽日 ，家队各國聯賽正在如火如荼進行之中 ，热身國足在西亞難尋熱身對手 。无果
結束與日本隊的沪媒比賽後 ，國足留在了西亞 。买单這一方麵是国足因為入境隔離政策，另一方麵也是至少支国再次专业出於方便尋找熱身對手的考慮 。不過 ，联系中國足協的家队如意算盤落空了。由於現在並非國際比賽日 ，热身各國的无果國家隊基本上都沒有集中 ，所以不可能陪中國隊熱身 。沪媒據悉 ，中國足協先後聯係了巴林 、約旦 、科威特 、伊拉克 、阿聯酋 、黎巴嫩 、伊朗 、烏茲別克等國足協 ，都是無疾而終 。中國足協也曾考慮約戰阿聯酋等國的俱樂部球隊，可是聯賽賽程密集，俱樂部為了保證聯賽的成績 ，根本無暇“陪太子讀書”。
每年的國際比賽日早已敲定 ，阿聯酋等國的聯賽賽程也是早就安排好的 ，所以出現目前的情況 ，都是完全可以預判到的 。這一次國足在西亞難尋熱身對手 ，可以說是中國足球再次為自己的不專業而買單。
國足出戰越南隊之前 ，將隻有與敘利亞隊的一場熱身賽，比賽定於9月30日進行。
