在看完曼聯主場0-2負於曼城後 ，名宿保羅-默森點評了這支紅魔，並陰陽怪氣的嘲諷C羅 ，“我認為，沒有C羅的曼聯 ，是一支更為強大的球隊 ，甚至有機會爭冠 ，是前四有力競爭者 。他來後 ，曼聯徹底淪為爭四球隊 。”
