今年3月初，加入AC米蘭高管馬爾蒂尼在一次活動中遇到了迪巴拉 ，迪巴夺愿兩人寒暄了好一陣子 ，這次會談被認為是紅黑軍團對阿根廷攻擊手非常感興趣的信號。對於AC米蘭而言 ，想簽下迪巴拉 ，難度還是非常大的 ，因為俱樂部嚴格執行工資帽，這導致多納魯馬和恰爾汗奧盧紛紛以自由球員的身份離隊 ，凱西本賽季結束後的結局同樣如此 。意大利記者維斯納迪表示 ，AC米蘭整個球隊的年薪排在意甲第四乃至第五的位置 ，遠不及尤文圖斯和國際米蘭 ，正常情況下是沒辦法吃下迪巴拉的 。但如果“舍棄”伊布 ，那麽紅黑軍團將有能力給阿根廷前鋒開出稅後700萬歐元年薪的合同 。
維斯納迪還分析了迪巴拉和伊布的優缺點 ，稱阿根廷前鋒盡管領導能力不如瑞典神塔 ，但就技術層麵而言 ，迪巴拉非常適合AC米蘭主帥皮奧利的技戰術打法 ，他可以踢4-2-3-1陣型中“3”的位置 ，能夠給球隊陣容帶來質的飛躍 。
當然還有一點非常重要 ，那就是隨著伊布的年齡增加 ，他的傷病也越來越多 。瑞典神塔本賽季僅出場22次 ，且隻有12次首發，上賽季也隻出場26次 。從這些數據中不難看出，伊布正在淡出AC米蘭的主力陣容。需要指出的是，伊布被邊緣化絲毫沒有影響到AC米蘭的成績 ，上賽季紅黑軍團奪得意甲亞軍 ，本賽季更是朝著聯賽冠軍進發 。因此 ，伊布在AC米蘭隊內的重要性已經打上大大的問號 。
據悉 ，伊布與AC米蘭的合同將在本賽季結束後到期 ，雙方就續約尚未達成一致 。意大利記者維斯納迪表示，續約伊布 ，俱樂部需要拿出一份稅後高達700萬歐元年薪的合同 ，但越來越多的聲音是希望將這份合同給迪巴拉 。
