不管加圖索最終會否登陸北倫敦 ，索好手热但目前看來 ，无缝豐塞卡肯定是链接無緣熱刺大球場了 。迪馬濟奧消息稱 ，刚紫盡管先前曾經達成口頭協議 ，百合便牵但由於稅務方麵的分手原因——豐塞卡曾經可以在意大利享受稅務優惠 ，但在英國並不適用 ，加图意大利教頭得老實交稅 ，到手的薪資便少了不少 ，雙方談判最終破裂 。倫敦當地媒體則反駁了這一說法 ，《倫敦標準晚報》就說熱刺最終放棄豐塞卡，原因與錢無關，意大利方麵的消息並不屬實，但具體原因 ，他們也沒有說明 ，隻說熱刺和豐塞卡曾達成一份“2+1”協議 ，仍在商討具體細節 ，譬如教練組成員等 。直至本周三 ，熱刺都還在處理豐塞卡的簽證和文書等問題 。熱刺新任總監帕拉蒂奇則分別在米蘭和科莫同豐塞卡碰麵 ，積極商討了下賽季的準備工作 。另有消息稱 ，這次是熱刺放棄了豐塞卡 ，後者對此感到措手不及。
帕拉蒂奇當初供職尤文圖斯時 ，便有意邀請加圖索執教 ，如今後者賦閑 ，他便抓緊機會 。事情的進展速度超出人們想象 ，斯基拉在周四晚間便宣稱雙方已經達成協議 ：合同期至2023年 ，年薪250萬歐 。身在米蘭的帕拉蒂奇將在未來幾小時內同加圖索會麵，以完成這筆交易 。羅馬諾給出的消息並不似同行般言之鑿鑿 ，隻說熱刺和加圖索經紀人門德斯的首次正式會議結果相當積極 ，加圖索已經登上了熱刺選帥排行榜頭名 。但是一切尚未落定 ，雙方既沒敲定更沒簽訂任何協議 ，熱刺董事會將會很快做出決定 。
《全市場》找到了熱刺主席列維，打探相關消息 ，精明的列維則表示 ：“我從來不會去評價流言 ，我們曾經先後聯係過30多位教練 ，但在官方消息披露之前 ，一切都是媒體的猜測 。”
